UniMax Hoods are available in sizes to accommodate the largest of
laboratory apparatus, equipment and pilot plant operations. Range of
sizes available include 76", 100", 112", and 148" wide,
up to 48" deep and 96" high. Modular design permits fast
on site installation. Optional equipment includes service fixtures,
plumbing and electrical services, pass through ports, distillation
racks, mobile racks and tables.
To assure safe operations in accordance
with SEFA-1-2002 Lab Fume Hoods Recommended Practices and ANSI Z9.5-2003
Laboratory Ventilation Standards, HEMCO recommends that all laboratory
hoods be equipped with an airflow monitor.
UniMax Floor Mounted Hood Features

Chemical resistant composite surface panels
are bonded to 2” urethane foam. Horizontal slide doors are
aluminum framed tempered glass. The Unimax is
available in standard sizes, double
depth or length, or walk-through
designs to provide required access. Hood can
be located on an existing floor or
on a hood floor surface.

The Air By-Pass design controls air velocities at the
door opening. As doors are closed,
air enters through air inlet grills in the header and slots below
the doors. A chemical resistant
removable slotted baffle provides a
uniform airflow through the fume chamber.

Hood is equipped with either vapor proof or
explosion proof lighting 115v 60 Hz. Optional
chemical resistant exhaust blowers are available
for standard or explosion proof applications
can be shipped completely assembled
or knockdown for field erection. All electrical
components and services are UL and CSA
listed. Other voltage Hertz and phase options
are available for international and industry
requirements.
